Marcos and Vitôria have dedicated their lives to serving in the Church. In addition to serving as the best mission president
ever (Brazil Salvador South, 1994-97), Marcos has served as a bishop, stake president, former counselor in mission presidency,
stake executive secretary, high councilor, bishop, and branch president. Vitôria has served as a missionary preparation teacher,
temple ordinance worker, stake missionary, counselor in stake Primary presidency, counselor in stake Relief Society presidency,
Primary president, Young Women president, and seminary teacher.
After they were released from the Brasil Salvador Sul mission, they moved to Provo, UT, where both served in the MTC,
in addition to other Church callings.
When returned to Brazil in 2001, they were immediately called to serve once again in the Church. In addition to holding
multiple concurrent callings at the ward and stake level, they supported their sons on missions (Daniel, 2001-2003, Pennsylvania
Pittsburgh; Marcos, 2003-2005, Japan Tokyo North; Samuel, 2005-2007, ?????????).
The Print Shop
Previous to the mission, the Prieto family had owned a print shop, printing everything from banners to brochures. However,
when they returned to Brazil in 2001, the family business was in disarray. The building housing the print shop was falling
apart, the equipment was outmoded, and the company finacials were out of order.
Marcos set to work to upgrade the business. Unfortunately, he was not able to complete the needed repairs and upgrades.
This is where we need your help!! To complete the changes, we want to give them some money.
Every dollar counts! Please consider prayerfully and carefully what you CAN donate--donations from $10 to $10,000 are very
much appreciated.
Who Are We?
"Friends of Marcos" is a concerned group of people. We think President Prieto was a fantastic mission president,
and we want to help him continue to serve in the Church while supporting his family. If you would like more information,
please email friendsofmarcos@yahoo.com.
